Beautiful diva-free vocal melodies, infectious horn riffs and the best piano hook since Morales’ ‘Needin’ You’.  That’s Orange Muse’s You.  Subtle but catchy as hell, the Muse’s two Swedes Mats Landberg and Tobias Linden have it all covered here, hands in the air on the terrace vibes with the dub and super cool almost broken beats on the stunning Blue Bossa Mix – plus of course the imperious full length Vocal Mix.  Vocals are supplied by the mysterious Jeanette Ooh.

As you can tell from his reviews, Phil Cheeseman really knows his soulful house apples from his oranges, but even he’s surprised that he managed to get to this gem for his label before Orange/Olive Muse’s usual homes of Soulfuric and Subliminal Soul got to it. Big, lush disco-tinged production provides a solid base for the twin attack of classic, stabbing pianos and heartfelt vocal from the aptly named Jeanette Ooh. The dub really brings the parping trumpets to the fore as the vocals get looped up, while a broken beat mix from Blue Bossa lowers the energy to let the sensuality flow.
